Waikiki Beach, near Honolulu on the island of Oahu, is probably the most famous and popular of Hawaii's beaches. The big rock in the background is Diamond Head, another famous landmark. Diamond Head got its name from a group of naïve sailors who mistook some glittery volcanic glass for real gemstones.
